Sub-Cooling Calculator
This is a very easy smartphone app to calculate sub-cooling. Start by selecting the type of refrigerant in the system, enter the discharge pressure from your gauges and the condenser saturation temperature is displayed. Enter the liquid line temperature from your thermometer and the calculated sub-cooling is calculated. Compare the result to the manufacturer’s target sub-cooling for current conditions.
